Hattie is a gentle, well mannered chocolate Labrador who enjoys a calm, easy pace of life.
At fourteen, she spends plenty of time resting, but she still loves wandering around the garden, relaxing in the fresh air, and going for short walks.

We photographed Hattie in early June, when the garden was full of fresh summer greens and soft light.
It’s her favourite place - peaceful, surrounded by nature, and perfect for her to rest or explore at her own pace.
Because she’s almost completely deaf, we used simple gestures, body language and facial expressions, along with a few treats, to communicate with her.
She looked completely relaxed, enjoying the warmth and quiet of her beautiful country garden on the Surrey–West Sussex border.
